Jacqui Sirois

(she/they) is a queer, neurodiverse theatre director, writer, dramaturg and performer born in Toronto, ON.

Recent directing credits include ‘Double Bogey’ and ‘A Period Piece’ (Artists in Residence). Jacqui was the assistant director to MK Lawson on ‘She Persisted: The Musical’ at Atlantic Theatre Company and to Christopher Murrah on ‘A Blanket of Dust’ at the Flea Theatre in New York City. She is currently the Education Director for Eclipse Theatre Company in Toronto.

Jacqui earned their Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Music (Voice) from Queen's University where she appeared in productions ofSweeney Todd (Signor Pirelli), Assassins, and Orbit by Jennifer Wise. She also conceived and directed the highly-acclaimed cabaret, Beco[me], and directed and choreographed the Canadian student premiere of Pasek & Paul’s Dogfight.

Jacqui earned their Masters of Music in Vocal Performance with a Specialization in Musical Theatre from NYU where she appeared as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and was featured in the productions of Pins & Needles and Life of the Party, written by Lawrence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin.

She currently lives in Toronto, ON where she is writing two new works of musical theatre, mentored by Ryan Scott Oliver.

Jacqui is passionate about creating and sharing stories of women who are underestimated and prove many people wrong.
